Samsung Galaxy S9 Bad News
Recent Samsung Leak Reveals Bad News of Galaxy S9
Samsung is now working on the next big thing for next year. The company is currently preparing the remarkable folding Galaxy X which is taking our attention. Rumors and news out there are gathering as much as they can get to figure out what the new phone will look like to compete the celebratory handset Apple iPhone X with all its excellent selling points. Aside from that, there is another big excitement about to roll out with the Galaxy X, that is the new Galaxy S9. It would be the next generation of the current Samsung Galaxy S8 which has just arrived on the store shelves. As the successor of Galaxy S8 which is a gorgeous phone already, the S9 is expected to come with much better improvements. Moreover, there are a few things that need to be “corrected” of the current model like the placement of its fingerprint scanner, for example. With some recent ongoing leaks that reveal the improvement made by the company to the S9, some reports are telling us how great the next flagship will be. Sadly, besides the positive stories, we also found a few things which are potentially become bad news. Let’s see some of the recent Samsung leak reveals bad news of Galaxy S9 below.
No in-display fingerprint scanner
ETNews which is trusted for its reliability recently comes with two disappointing tales to tell about Samsung Galaxy S9. Firstly, this report reveals something about the fingerprint scanner of the S9. For the last few months, rumors suggest Samsung Galaxy S9 come with a fingerprint reader that is integrated into the display. This technology is known as an in-display fingerprint scanner. The rumors began since the company is reportedly working on this technology. The bad news is, the company again failed to get this technology ready for mass production in time for the S9. So, we won’t see it coming with the S9. Instead, it will be mounted on the rear of the phone. Well, let’s hope that the position would be more sensible on the next phone than on the current model. Although the scanner on the current model is responding tremendously, it is not pretty reachable. The placement of this sensor is a bit awkward, regarding this we suggest the next flagship will locate it a bit more in the center.
No iPhone X-matching facial recognition
Let’s leave the first bad news of the Galaxy S9. Besides disappointing us with the report about an in-display fingerprint scanner, the second announcement from ETNews containing information that is revealing another bad news. The sources are confirming that Samsung will have no rival to the excitement of Face ID 3D facial recognition system as seen on the iPhone X in their next Galaxy S9. Instead, the report says that the company will continue using the combination of an iris sensor and facial recognition using the front camera. Well, it is less surprising to know that the next S9 will lack that excitement. But surely it will annoy the Samsung fans to have the same facial recognition, again, which is considered less accurate and secure. As we know, Face ID of the iPhone X is one of the significant selling points of the phone that allows the user to unlock the phone using infrared and visible light scans to identify his face. Apple claims that this technology can work under some conditions securely.
Face ID is claimed more secure than the other method like a fingerprint scanner. Expectedly it can secure the phone much better than the other any technique. It is a form of biometric authentication that relies on the unique characteristics of your face. If only Samsung has something ready for the S9 to match this Face ID, it would be a significant boost to the big name of Galaxy S series. The competition between the two will be more appealing in the next flagship to prove which one deserves to be the best.
