Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ Appear in the FCC Listings

Samsung will release the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus at MWC this year. The handsets appear in the FCC listings with LTE band 71 support, according to a report from reddit. The listings are for the model numbers SM-G960U and SM-G965U, which are expected to be the Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9 Plus.

No image included on the FCC listings but they offer some details about the handsets. Both models support LTE bands 2, 4, and 12 as well as band 66 and band 71 (600MHz). Other details include support for features like Carrier Aggregation and 4×4 MIMO.

A new leak image of the Galaxy S9 shows some spec details of the handset. According to the leak image, the Galaxy S9 will feature a 5.8-inch Quad HD+ Super AMOLED display, Super Speed Dual Pixel 12MP rear camera with OIS and f/1.5 and f/2.4 apertures, stereo speakers, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage.

The leak image suggests a super slow-motion feature, IP68 water and dust resistant rating, iris scanner, , wireless charging support and earphones tuned by AKG. Recent rumors suggest that the Galaxy S9 camera will feature a variable aperture, just like the leak image.

However, no word from Samsung yet regarding the leak image of the Galaxy S9 box so we better take with a pinch of salt and wait for the official announcement from the company at MWC.
