Samsung Galaxy S9 Vs Galaxy S8

Samsung’s new Galaxy S9 and S9+ are now official. The new Galaxy series bring some improvements and issues fixes over the Galaxy S8series with better camera experience and of course, new interesting features. Check out the Samsung Galaxy S9 Vs Galaxy S8, so you can choose to upgrade your phone or not.

Camera

Samsung Galaxy S9 has the same primary sensor camera with the S8 (12 megapixels). However, the Galaxy S9 and S9+ have adjustable apertures as well as switching seamlessly between f/1.5 and f/2.4, making the S9 and S9 plus camera great in low light.
The second difference is the Galaxy S9+ gets a second 12MP sensor with a telephoto lens which offers two times zoom and facilitates Live Focus. Live Focus is a kind of portrait mode and you’ve seen it on the Galaxy Note 8.

Specifications

Samsung Galaxy S9+ has two more gigabytes of RAM than last year’s models. The new Galaxy S9 also has the fingerprint sensor on the back of the phone, below the vertical camera module.

So, do we have to upgrade to the Galaxy S9? Well, it depends. If your current phone is Galaxy S6 or S7 and want to enjoy the new features of the Galaxy Phone series, then you should upgrade to the Galaxy S9 or S9 Plus.

But if you have a Galaxy S8 or Galaxy Note 8, then you can still keep your phone cause you can still enjoy most (though not all) features of the Galaxy S9 with its Android 8.0 Oreo update. Of course, you can choose to upgrade to the new Galaxy S9 or Galaxy S9 plus to enjoy all the new features and the new good looking phone.

When you choose to upgrade to the new Galaxy S9 series, then which one you should take? The S9 or the S9 Plus? The Galaxy S9 Plus has larger screen, of course, and extra RAM as well as a secondary rear camera and bigger battery. So, if you love large display and bigger battery, the S9 plus will surely be the best choice. You can choose your favorite colors, Midnight Black, Lilac Purple, Coral Blue and Titanium Gray but silver color is only available internationally, not in US.

Samsung Galaxy S9 is now available worldwide. You can get the Galaxy S9 for between $720 and $800, and the Galaxy S9+ for between $870 and $915 (US Price). You can read Samsung Galaxy S9 user guide to get started with your new phone.
